BIRTHDAYS & THANKSGIVING

On Friday November 17, I turned 40 and I was looking forward to 40 with a vengeance ! It was a great day . I had a party at my house with my children and my closest friends . I received some very thoughtful gifts . This was the best birthday that I can remember in years . It was really special and it is one I won't forget anytime soon .
I also went out to dinner last night and had a wonderful time with my daughter and one of my best friends . I will top it off by spending thanksgiving with my family and celebrating my birthday with them , it is my nephews birthday on the 28th , and my sister's birthday was on the 4th so it will be a big celebration . I am making this dessert with oreo cookies , strawberries, bananas , peaches , cool whip , and blueberries it is a layered dish and it is awesome ! Of course everything is reduced fat or fat free .
I am thankful for much this year , I am so happy with my life it is full and busy but it is happy , I am content and I have reached a certain maturity that has mellowed me out some but I have the same lively spirit . I have the heart of a 20 something and I don't look a day over 35 , my personality has really blossomed . There is a contentment within me that I have never had before I feel it and it is wonderful and refreshing .
I hope that all my friends out there have a place to go for Thanksgiving or at least someone to spend it with .Happy Thanksgiving to all !

HALLOWEEN

Had a great Halloween with the kids Anthony went as a ghoul he wore a long black robe with a hood and I did his face up with white makeup and black around his eyes . He looked sooo good . Patrick went as a Ninja , he looked adorable and the weather was great .
I decided not to dress up this year I haven't been feeling well all week and I just wanted to get the trick or treating over with as fast as possible .
I can't believe that Thanksgiving is 3 weeks away and then Christmas 4 weeks after that , this year went very fast and I don't have a clue where the time went to everything that happened last year is now just a dim blur , I mean the emotions of situations are completely wiped out as if they never happened and I am better for that I have moved on in a healthy manner and I feel good about all my decisions and about all that happened .
I have been talking to Kirk again he is the guy whom I dated last year , we are not dating or anything we are friends and we talk occasionally and he came over and helped me out with some electronics . I know he is interested in me and he would like to date me again but am so not into that , I am still " single " and loving it ! This is a record for me I have been on my own for what 7 months now I have dated a few here and there but I haven't been with anyone steadily in that long and it feels so good I have been getting to know myself in these months and it has been fun besides I have been putting all my energy into school and the kids and I wouldn't want to put my energy into a man and then neglect myself in the process I mean that's what women usually do we focus all our energy on our men and lose site of who we are in the process . It happens all the time and I have come a long way from that !
Well I think I will head to bed now I volunteered my time to help out at the book fair at school tomorrow since I am off and they really need the help . I need to do laundry also at some point and I have school tomorrow night I have to try and take a nap somewhere in the middle of my day . Till next time .....
